Mana Candy restores 30 MP when used. To make it, learn Recipe: Mana Candy, then combine 1 Honey, 2 Bitter Herb, and 3 Salt at a Cooking Pot. Having the ingredients alone does not unlock the recipe.
Keep some candy aside if you plan to make a Ring of Magic +4: that recipe consumes 3 Mana Candy. A candy spent restoring MP is no longer available for crafting, gifts, or the Disembodied Voice in The Void.
Get the recipe through Artisanal Goods
Speak to Damian at the Carpenter’s shop about Artisanal Goods. His request asks for Jelly (Bloodberry) and Pickles (Radish). Return the named preserves to Damian; the recorded rewards include Recipe: Mana Candy and Recipe: Mushroom Soup.
The exact preserve names matter. Raw Bloodberries and Radishes are not the requested finished Jelly and Pickles. Check the task’s current requirements before committing your crop supply, then verify that the recipe item reaches your inventory after the hand-in.
Use Recipe: Mana Candy to learn it before opening the Cooking Pot. Receiving a recipe as a reward and learning it are separate checks. This route supplies the missing recipe step; Honey, Bitter Herb, and Salt supply the later cooking ingredients.
Make Mana Candy at the Cooking Pot

The full recipe is small enough to check before you leave home:
| Requirement | Amount or condition |
|---|---|
| Honey | 1 |
| Bitter Herb | 2 |
| Salt | 3 |
| Station | Cooking Pot |
| Unlock | Use Recipe: Mana Candy |
| Effect when consumed | Restore 30 MP |
- Use Recipe: Mana Candy to learn the recipe.
- Gather all three ingredients in the amounts above.
- Use the Cooking Pot to make the candy.
- Decide whether this batch is for restoring MP or for another use before consuming it.
If the recipe is missing from your cooking options, check whether you have actually used the recipe item. Finding Honey or owning a Cooking Pot is not the recipe unlock.
Mana Candy and Mana Muffin are separate items with separate recipes. Follow the muffin guide when that is the item your task requires; making candy does not complete a muffin requirement.
Gather Honey, Bitter Herb, and Salt
These ingredients have different supply routes. Salt has a direct shop option, Bitter Herb can be gathered or found in changing shop stock, and Honey has both world and production sources.
Honey from trees and a Bee House
Honey can be obtained by searching Honeytrees in The Old Woods and Campsite. Named locations include The Old Woods' Statue, Mill Junction, and Bus Stop areas. Searching is a chance-based source, so carry enough supplies for the trip rather than assuming one tree will provide everything you need.
If you are still opening that region, use the Old Woods access guide for the route. This page covers Honey as a candy ingredient, rather than repeating the area's full unlock sequence.
A Bee House produces Honey every 4 days. That makes it an option for later batches, but the production time means it does not solve an immediate shortage. Honey may also arrive with Sam's letter A small gift. Treat a letter attachment as an extra source, not a way to order a batch on demand.
Bitter Herb from gathering or shop stock
Bitter Herb gathering nodes appear in Town, Lakefront, Mall Parking Lot, Town Outskirts (West), Pumpkin Path, and Greystone Estates, among other areas. Each Mana Candy needs two, so check the total before returning to the Cooking Pot.
The Garbage Shop can sell Bitter Herb for 8g, with stock that changes each night. Check the shop when it is convenient, but do not build a time-sensitive plan around it always carrying the item. Bitter Herb can also appear as loot or a garbage-can find; those are incidental supplies rather than guaranteed purchases.
Salt from the General Store or processing
The General Store sells Salt for 40g with unlimited stock. Buying the recipe's three Salt there costs 120g, before accounting for Honey or Bitter Herb. This is the clearest immediate option if you have money and want to avoid waiting for processing.
Salt Rock can also be processed into 2 Salt. A Grinder takes 2 in-game hours and a fuel amount of 1; a Windmill takes 6 in-game hours. Two Salt Rock processing jobs provide four Salt, enough for one candy with one Salt left over.
Get Candy Without Cooking
Mana Candy is attached to Sam's Thinking of you letter and Blorph's A small gift letter. Check your mail before spending ingredients if either letter has arrived.
Another source is trick-or-treating in Greystone Estates during All Hallows' Eve. A door gives a treat on a die result of 4 or higher, and Mana Candy has an 18% chance within that treat result. This is conditional: it is not an 18% chance that every door interaction gives you Mana Candy, and it is not a reliable substitute for a prepared cooking batch.
For an immediate cooking batch, use the ingredient routes above. Mail and seasonal treats are useful additions when available, while the Cooking Pot recipe gives you a way to turn gathered ingredients into candy.
Reserve Candy for Crafting and Other Uses
The Ring of Magic +4 is made at a Jeweller's Desk with the following ingredients:
| Ingredient | Amount |
|---|---|
| Crafting Pattern | 1 |
| Moon Crystal | 1 |
| Gold Bar | 15 |
| Spiritcap Mushroom | 1 |
| Mana Candy | 3 |
The ring recipe is known from the start and can be crafted once. Producing its three candy from scratch requires 3 Honey, 6 Bitter Herb, and 9 Salt, in addition to the ring's other materials. Keep that batch separate from the candy you intend to use for MP.
The Disembodied Voice accepts 1 Mana Candy, or another accepted item, in The Void. The candy is consumed. The possible return is one of Void Sphere, Soulfruit Seed, Greater Holy Water, or Voidberry Seed; do not assume handing over candy lets you choose a specific reward.
Molly and Sam like Mana Candy as a gift. Use the gift guide for broader gift planning rather than spending a crafting reserve simply because candy is in your bag.
Check the Missing Requirement Before Spending More
For cooking, check the recipe unlock, Cooking Pot, and all three ingredient counts. For the ring, check the three-candy reserve and the other ring materials. For MP recovery, remember that candy provides 30 MP, while the choice of when to spend recovery items belongs to your combat preparation.
These checks separate three different problems: not knowing the recipe, not having its ingredients, and spending an item that another plan still needs. Each calls for a different next step.
